Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

FaxDaddy ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Moonstone Internet Ventures LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application FaxDaddy (the "App") and related services. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Apple ID credentials (via Sign in with Apple) — we receive your Apple-provided email address (which may be a private relay address) and optional display name
• Fax content — documents, images, and files you upload or scan for faxing
• Recipient information — fax numbers you enter or select from our directory
• Contacts — fax contacts you save within the App
• Signatures — electronic signatures you create within the App
• Directory favorites — fax numbers you bookmark from our directory
• Attribution data — how you heard about FaxDaddy (collected during onboarding)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device token for push notifications (with your permission)
• App usage analytics via Firebase Analytics (screen views, feature usage, fax send/receive events)
• Crash reports via Sentry (device type, OS version, stack traces — no personal data)
• Subscription status via RevenueCat (plan type, trial status, renewal events)

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect passwords (Sign in with Apple handles authentication)
• We do not access your device contacts, photo library, or files without your explicit action
• We do not use cookies or web tracking technologies
• We do not collect location data

3. How We Use Your Information

• To transmit faxes on your behalf via our fax delivery provider
• To provide delivery confirmation and proof of delivery
• To manage your account, subscription, and fax number
• To send push notifications about fax delivery status, trial reminders, and account updates
• To improve the App through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics
• To prevent abuse and enforce usage limits
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

Telnyx — Fax transmission and phone number provisioning. Telnyx processes fax content and recipient numbers to deliver faxes via the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). Privacy policy: telnyx.com/privacy-policy

Amazon Web Services (S3) — Encrypted document storage. Documents uploaded for faxing are stored temporarily in AWS S3 with AES-256 server-side encryption. Documents are retained only as long as necessary to complete transmission.

RevenueCat — Subscription management. RevenueCat processes subscription events (purchase, renewal, cancellation) but does not access your fax content or documents.

Firebase Analytics — Anonymized usage analytics. We track feature usage and conversion events to improve the App. Firebase does not receive fax content or personal documents.

Sentry — Error monitoring and crash reporting. Sentry receives technical diagnostic data (device type, OS version, error stack traces) but not personal data or fax content.

Apple (Sign in with Apple) — Authentication. Apple handles identity verification. We receive only your Apple-provided email and optional name.

5. Data Security

We implement the following security measures to protect your data:

• Encryption in transit: All API communication uses HTTPS with TLS 1.3
• Encryption at rest: Documents stored in AWS S3 are encrypted with AES-256 server-side encryption
• On-device encryption: The Vault feature stores documents locally on your device, protected by iOS Data Protection (encrypted when device is locked)
• Authentication: JSON Web Tokens (JWT) with short expiration times; refresh tokens stored securely
• Data isolation: Every database query is scoped to the authenticated user. Users cannot access other users' data.
• Rate limiting: API endpoints are rate-limited to prevent abuse
• No admin access to documents: We do not have an admin interface that allows viewing user documents

6. Data Retention

• Fax documents: Retained in S3 for the duration necessary to complete transmission, plus a reasonable period for delivery confirmation and retry. Users may request deletion at any time.
• Fax records: Delivery metadata (recipient number, page count, status, timestamp) is retained for your fax history until you delete your account.
• Vault documents: Stored locally on your device only. Not uploaded to our servers unless you fax them.
• Account data: Retained until you request account deletion.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — view your fax history, contacts, and account information within the App
• Delete your data — use the "Delete Account" option in Settings to permanently delete your account and all associated data from our servers
• Opt out of analytics — decline App Tracking Transparency when prompted
• Disable notifications — manage push notification preferences in iOS Settings or within the App

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from Settings within the App. Upon deletion, we will permanently remove your user record, fax history, contacts, saved favorites, documents, and audit logs from our servers. Your dedicated fax number will be released. This action is irreversible. Note that active subscriptions must be canceled separately through Apple's subscription management.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
